Canadiana
Alberta bees
The organic raw honey that sweetens One Degree's Organic
Sprouted Honey O's cereal is from the Wolfe Honey Company in northern Alberta,
Canada, where honeybees scout endless horizons of pristine clover fields, and
have plenty of pesticide-free flowers and fruits to pollinate.
The story of these gentle bees and their world-famous raw
light organic honey is a tale of purity, sustainability and ecological
stewardship. Founder Gilbert Wolfe's estimated half billion honeybees are never
exposed to chemicals of any kind during the production process. The honey is
raw, with no heat treatment, and pure, with nothing added to dilute or sweeten.
Find out more about Wolfe Honey Company at HoneyBunny.ca. And
meet all our farmers at OneDegreeOrganics.com.

Comments from our guests and members
Members and guests attending our weekly meetings are very important to us. Based on your comments we are able to produce many more educational, inspiring and entertaining weekly meetings.
Following are some of the comments we have received. Would you please send us your comments?
Nora McInerny. Grief
and its effects. We move on with
it. It is the truth of the matter that everyone
will face one of these days. I wish that you can give an opportunity to the
Rotaractors to participate. Plus I don’t
own a credit card and cannot afford the donations but love to attend these
meetings.
-- Alex Jonathan Twinamatsiko, Rotaract Club of Kampala Muyenga
Breeze, District 9211
I always enjoy inspirational moments. This week’s talk on grief was interesting.
-- Dennis Armitage, Rotary Club of Dawson Creek Sunrise,
District 5370
June 23. Wow! This is the Rotary E-Club of Canada One. What an example we are setting!
-- Elly Contreras, E-Club of Canada One, District 5370
Inspirational Moment with Kodi Lee’s performance was amazing
and fantastic! Sam Sullivan’s Canadiana
History of British Columbia was very well done.
The Food for Thought kept the faith that no matter how far you have
drifted to a dark place, there is always hope.
-- Andy Adams, Rotary Club of Campbell River, District 5020
“Love the ones you think deserve it the least.” A profound idea. Thank you!
-- Doug Dyer, E-Club of Canada One, District 5370
Concussion. The TED
Talk caused me to think back to my youth and how many times I might have hit my
head, though I never remember anything that might have been a concussion.
-- David Werrett, E-Club of Canada One, District 5370

Humour
Rotary Minute
Eighty percent of the land in the Bahamas is less than 5 feet above sea level. Which means that, if oceans rise at the rate scientists are projecting, the hilltop home on New Providence Island owned by Past Rotary International President Barry Rassin may someday be reclassified as beachfront property.
"I look at my own country - climate change is almost personal," he says. "My country is going to be gone if we do nothing."
The environment isn't one of Rotary's six areas of focus, but it's deeply intertwined with each of them. Senior staff writer Diana Schoberg sat down with Rassin to talk about why and how Rotarians should put the welfare of the planet on their agendas.

Rotary Jukebox
For a small donation, your favorite musician will be featured on one of our next e-meetings for everyone to enjoy.
Every week we'll have a draw and the lucky person will see their song featured!
Dating back to 1986, a recently unearthed video offers a rare glimpse of Freddie Mercury performing without a full band behind him. In the video, the famous Queen frontman sings "Time Waits for No One" from the concept album of the musical Time, accompanied only by a piano.
Dave Clark, creator of Time, found and
released the original recording of Mercury's performance after decades of
searching for it. "I didn't even think of going back to the track until 10
years later," he says. "And it wasn't to rerelease it. It was for my
own peace of mind. I wanted to hear it, to keep it. But I couldn't find it. A
few years later, I sent my technical engineer down. We couldn't find it. This
went on for years. And then in 2017, we found it. And it was magic."

Program Donations
Our E-Club is a dynamic club comprised of ordinary working and retired people who acknowledge that Rotarians are people who are generous with their time and their resources.
Our club and the program you have just enjoyed, either as a member or a visitor, is funded only by donations.
We are developing ideas for fundraising with our members who are scattered across Canada, USA, Central America, and Europe, but we do need your help.
