Lake Baikal, in the Russian region of Siberia, is a massive body of water—the world’s deepest and most voluminous freshwater lake.
Its location and the surrounding geography can lead to fascinating phenomena in the winter, as ferocious winds and cycles of melting and refreezing build and sculpt works of structural beauty—stones supported on wind-worn pedestals, undulating surface ice, encrusted beaches, crazy icicles, frozen methane bubbles, and more.

10 years to transform the future of humanity. Johan Rockstrom makes a strong evidence-based argument that we are closing in on the 2030 tipping point of our planet. Earth will no longer be able to regulate its temperatures like it has done as a result of CO2 emissions that are creating such a rise in temperatures. Humanity must change how we live and we do have the technology to do so.

Ramiro and I did a Happy Hour make-up on the patio overlooking the ocean. The crashing of the waves made it difficult sometimes to hear the speakers. The Climate Change Topic will likely result in a need for more Shelter Boxes.

Warm story of the Care Package. Brought back memories of past Christmas when as kids w put our shoes by the fireplace. Father Christmas could then come down the chimney and leave a package under each of our shoes.

Real-time meetings
Each 3rd Tuesday of the month from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. (Mountain Time) is our Fellowship Assembly, and we often invite interesting speakers or Rotary Leaders for this entertaining, educational fun event.
Everyone is welcome to attend and we encourage your participation.

Classifications
Virtually all membership in Rotary is based upon a “classification.” Basically, a classification describes the distinct and recognized business or professional service that the Rotarian renders to society.

An ethical theory in which individuals are accountable for fulfilling their civic duty, and the actions of an individual must benefit the whole of society. In this way, there must be a balance between economic growth and the welfare of society and the environment.

Our E-Club is a dynamic club comprised of ordinary working and retired people who acknowledge that Rotarians are people who are generous with their time and their resources.
Our club and the program you have just enjoyed, either as a member or a visitor, is funded only by donations.
We are developing ideas for fundraising with our members who are scattered across Canada, USA, Central America, and Europe, but we do need your help.
