Comments from our guests and members

Members and guests attending our weekly meetings are very important to us. Based on your comments we are able to produce many more educational, inspiring, and entertaining weekly meetings.

Following are some of the comments we have received. Would you please send us your comments?

Ishmael Beah. I enjoy attending your e-club meetings because the format flows so well. This week's speaker was very enjoyable, and the topic tied back nicely to the Rotary Moment of our differing world views based on the happenstance of where we are born.
-- Todd Colbourne, Rotary Club of Kingston, District 7040

The Brain-changing effects of exercise. Certainly, the TED talk on effects of exercise on the brain shows how, for a small investment of time, you have the ability to positively affect your personal future.
-- Craig Berke, not a Rotarian yet.

Brain-changing exercise. Delightful!
-- Lynne Ternosky, Rotary Club of District 6330 Passport

The Rotary E-club of Canada One is excited to announce that all of our attending guests who make a donation to our club in lieu of a meal, fines or happy bucks, will have the opportunity to have their name entered in a quarterly draw in support of the Rotary Foundation.

New members' corner

Rotary is proud to welcome you to our global community of more than 1.2 million men and women dedicated to building a better world.

You make Rotary stronger. By adding your skills, experience, and enthusiasm to your club, you can advance communities at home and on a global scale. Together, we can eradicate polio, train more skilled peacemakers, and provide lasting solutions for communities fighting disease, hunger, illiteracy, and poverty.

Through the Rotary community, you can exchange ideas and build lifelong friendships with people who share your passion for service.

Take advantage of the resources and activities available through your club, district, and Rotary International to make your experience with Rotary both rewarding and fun.

Rotary minute

As Rotarians, we receive monthly publications titled “The Rotarian.” One is international and one focuses on Canadian Clubs. Each edition is filled with stories of wonderful projects to support humanity all across the globe. Projects ranging from small, localized initiatives to better one’s own community to those that take the world by storm (think Polio Plus).

While reading through these magazines, it struck me that every good deed, every successful project was all started by ONE person who had a passion for an idea.

They then brought that idea to their Club which enabled the passion to spread and the idea then became a project.

Sometimes, it spreads from Club to Club and becomes much bigger than even the original passionate soul could have imagined.

That is the power of passion and Rotary.

Program Donations

Our E-Club is a dynamic club comprised of ordinary working and retired people who acknowledge that Rotarians are people who are generous with their time and their resources.

Our club and the program you have just enjoyed, either as a member or a visitor, is funded only by donations.

We are developing ideas for fundraising with our members who are scattered across Canada, USA, Central America, and Europe, but we do need your help.

As you have not had to buy lunch or travel to attend this program, please make a donation of a minimum of $10.00, considering you're saving in time and cost in appreciation for the experience you have enjoyed.
