Inspirational moment

“The average duration of a hug between two people is 3 seconds. But researchers discovered when a hug lasts 20 seconds, it produces a therapeutic effect on the body and mind. A sincere hug produces oxytocin, the love hormone.

This wonderful tranquilizer is offered for free every time you take a person in your arms, cradle a child, caress an animal or dance with our partner. 20 seconds. Mindful, present therapy for both parties.”

Comments from our guests and members

Members and guests attending our weekly meetings are very important to us. Based on your comments we are able to produce many more educational, inspiring, and entertaining weekly meetings.

Following are some of the comments we have received. Would you please send us your comments?

November 1. ADHD for girls and women was timely for me as one of my granddaughters has just been diagnosed! As a Canadian, I also enjoyed the tour of the Blackfoot Nation.
-- Sharon Blaker, E-Club of Canada One, District 5370

November 1. Having visited the Head-Smashed-In Buffalo Jump a few years ago, it was great to get more information on the native hunting area. The site was used for over 6,000 years to hunt bison, and is truly incredible.
-- Jim Ferguson, E-Club of Canada One, District 5370

October 31. Great meeting!
-- Vicki Horsfield, E-Club of Canada One, District 5370

November 1. Inspirational Moment was an insprational story, and the Aquabox looks like a great project. The Jukebox song was a good reminder to 'Live Today'. With Thanks
-- Andy Adams, Rotary Club of Campbell River, District 5020

November 6. I enjoyed the inspirational moment about the father turning the car around to return a 50 cent overpayment and, in turn, saving the ticket lady's job. I'm glad the information was shared regarding the Aquaboxes (family emergency kits), as I hadn't heard of this before. Wow, clean water for up to one year! Can we help Ukraine by sending these?
-- Brenda Race, E-Club of Canada One, District 5370

Program Donations

Our E-Club is a dynamic club comprised of ordinary working and retired people who acknowledge that Rotarians are people who are generous with their time and their resources.

Our club and the program you have just enjoyed, either as a member or a visitor, is funded only by donations.

We are developing ideas for fundraising with our members who are scattered across Canada, USA, Central America, and Europe, but we do need your help.

As you have not had to buy lunch or travel to attend this program, please make a donation of a minimum of $10.00, considering you're saving in time and cost in appreciation for the experience you have enjoyed.
