Comments from our guests and members

Members and guests attending our weekly meetings are very important to us. Based on your comments we are able to produce many more educational, inspiring, and entertaining weekly meetings.

Following are some of the comments we have received. Would you please send us your comments?

May 20. I think Bill Gates is really being optimistic when he says "this may be the last pandemic". Many doctors seem to think that we may need to get an annual injection to protect against Covid variations just like getting a flu shot.
-- David Werrett, E-Club of Canada One, District 5370

May 19. Attended the weekly meeting with topics: cervical cancer, Ukrainian leaving Kyiv with Rotary help, "2 days, 1 earth", how a feedback changes lives, poaching of elephants for tusks, and Bill Gates on how we can make COVID-19 the last pandemic. This was interesting to see the innovative ideas.
-- Brenda Race, E-Club of Canada One, District 5370

May 24. Well, what a meeting! Dudley Moore who lived in our end of the province the last years of his life and attended my daughter’s piano concerts, and T Dixon the main speaker…powerful!
-- Neil Rogers, E-Club of Canada One, District 5370

May 25. A very inspiring meeting!
-- Sharon Blaker, E-Club of Canada One, District 5370

Humour

At one point during a game, the coach called one of his 9-year-old baseball players aside.

He asked, "Do you understand what cooperation is? What a team is?"

"Yes, coach", replied the little boy. "

Do you understand that what matters is whether we win or lose together as a team?"

The little boy nodded in the affirmative.

"So," the coach continued, "I'm sure you know, when an out is called, you shouldn't argue, curse the umpire, or call him an a$$hole. Do you understand all that?"

Again, the little boy nodded in the affirmative.

The coach continued, "And when I take you out of the game so that another boy gets a chance to play, it's not a dumb-a$$ decision or that the coach is a sh**head is it?"

"No, coach."

"Good", said the coach. "Now go over there and explain all that to your grandmother!"

Program Donations

Our E-Club is a dynamic club comprised of ordinary working and retired people who acknowledge that Rotarians are people who are generous with their time and their resources.

Our club and the program you have just enjoyed, either as a member or a visitor, is funded only by donations.

We are developing ideas for fundraising with our members who are scattered across Canada, USA, Central America, and Europe, but we do need your help.

As you have not had to buy lunch or travel to attend this program, please make a donation of a minimum of $10.00, considering you're saving in time and cost in appreciation for the experience you have enjoyed.
