Comments from our guests and members

Members and guests attending our weekly meetings are very important to us. Based on your comments we are able to produce many more educational, inspiring, and entertaining weekly meetings.

Following are some of the comments we have received. Would you please send us your comments?

May 9 – Gina Martin. That was an awesome speaker program. Her message is the perfect example of the saying, "If you are not part of the solution, you are part of the problem." We all need to be part of the voice against sexual harassment.
-- Vicki Horsfield, E-Club of Canada One, District 5370

Gina Martin’s TED Talk. What an amazing public speaker Gina is! She is engaging and inspiring. I always enjoy your meetings – my go-to makeup site!
-- Todd Colbourne, Rotary Club of Kingston, District 7040

May 13. Gina Martin. Enjoyed the weekly meeting, in particular the video: "How many robots does it take to run a grocery store?" As I educate clients on labour market info and trends (like automation), I had to share this on LinkedIn! I also shared the speaker program video: "They told me to change my clothes. I changed the law instead." A great example of being the change. So impressive.
-- Brenda Race, E-Club of Canada One, District 5370

May 13. Gina Martin. What a powerful speaker this week!
-- Neil Rogers, E-Club of Canada One, District 5370

Speaker Program

The billion dollar program to electrify transportation

The roadmap to ending pollution from transportation is here, says electrification advocate Monica Araya.

In conversation with head of TED, Chris Anderson, Araya introduces Drive Electric: a global campaign to retire the polluting internal combustion engine in time to avoid climate disaster. And she shares some exciting news: a breakthrough funding commitment from the Audacious Project that puts the project well on its way to realizing a billion-dollar plan to supercharge the transition to electric vehicles over the next five years.

Learn more about the coalition of 70 organizations powering this global action -- and the role all cities, politicians and citizens can play to secure a zero-emission transport future.

(This ambitious plan is a part of the Audacious Project, TED's initiative to inspire and fund global change.)

Program Donations

Our E-Club is a dynamic club comprised of ordinary working and retired people who acknowledge that Rotarians are people who are generous with their time and their resources.

Our club and the program you have just enjoyed, either as a member or a visitor, is funded only by donations.

We are developing ideas for fundraising with our members who are scattered across Canada, USA, Central America, and Europe, but we do need your help.

As you have not had to buy lunch or travel to attend this program, please make a donation of a minimum of $10.00, considering you're saving in time and cost in appreciation for the experience you have enjoyed.
