The Dallaire Institute for Children, Peace and Security, commonly known as the Dallaire Institute, is a research and advocacy organization based in Canada. It was founded by retired Canadian Lieutenant-General Romeo Dallaire, who is best known for his efforts during the Rwandan Genocide and his subsequent advocacy for peace and the protection of children in conflict zones.

The primary focus of the Dallaire Institute is on issues related to child soldiers, the impact of armed conflict on children, and the prevention of the use of child soldiers. The institute conducts research, raises awareness, and develops practical tools and strategies for governments, organizations, and individuals to address the challenges faced by children affected by armed conflict.

One of the notable initiatives of the Dallaire Institute is the Romeo Dallaire Child Soldiers Initiative, which seeks to end the recruitment and use of child soldiers worldwide. This initiative works with military, police, and other security forces to provide training and guidance on how to protect children in conflict zones and prevent their involvement in armed groups.

Program Donations

Our E-Club is a dynamic club comprised of ordinary working and retired people who acknowledge that Rotarians are people who are generous with their time and their resources.

Our club and the program you have just enjoyed, either as a member or a visitor, is funded only by donations.

We are developing ideas for fundraising with our members who are scattered across Canada, USA, Central America, and Europe, but we do need your help.

As you have not had to buy lunch or travel to attend this program, please make a donation of a minimum of $10.00, considering you're saving in time and cost in appreciation for the experience you have enjoyed.
