Comments from our guests and members

Members and guests attending our weekly meetings are very important to us. Based on your comments we are able to produce many more educational, inspiring, and entertaining weekly meetings.

Following are some of the comments we have received. Would you please send us your comments?

Thanks, Kitty, for sharing the videos I sent you. I love both the different kinds of shoppers as we have all seen them and the “Potato, Egg or Coffee” video. I guess I have a good reason to drink more coffee. Loving the meetings!
-- Nance Macleod, E-Club of Canada One, District 5370

Virtual Meeting presentation. What an excellent concept!
-- Neil Rogers, E-Club of Canada One, District 5370

September 20. How do we get that video out to the anti-vaccers?
-- Vicki Horsfield, E-Club of Canada One, District 5370

Fellowship Assembly – Education-Literacy program. I was not aware of the work done by the Dolly Parton Imagination Library and how it is being utilized up in Northern Canada for youth being able to access reading literature. It was a great introduction for me to learn about its future plans. I also enjoyed learning about the other three literacy programs that also presented.
-- Lawrence Badanai, I am not a Rotarian.

Fellowship event, September 21. Always enjoyable. Nice to see so many guests.
Doug Dyer, E-Club of Canada One, District 5370

Fellowship event. An awesome Fellowship assembly. Thanks to all who participated. And the web meeting – Thanks for the hard work in putting the weekly meetings together!
-- Sharon Blaker, E-Club of Canada One, District 5370

Virtual/In-person meeting. The meeting shows the power of the virtual world we live in. COVID has changed the way we meet and how we can stay connected. This is something that youth today are years ahead of us. We can possibly connect with others more. Maybe Rotary will grow with a cultural change that a pandemic has forced upon us.
-- Michael Thomas, Rotary Club of Stony Plain, District 5370

Virtual/In-person Meeting. The Zoom meeting by the Rotary Club of Loma Linda was excellent with a great array of speakers, including RI Past President, Cliff Dochterman, an always inspiring speaker. And on September 13, an excellent history lesson on the Underground Railway and black history in Canada.
-- David Werrett, E-Club of Canada One, District 5370

New members' corner
There’s something about the whole idea of eradicating polio that grabs the imagination,” says Aidan O’Leary. “Most people talk about making steps toward achievements, and it’s almost always into the never-never. Eradication is a zero-sum game; anything short of zero is failure. You keep getting closer and closer, but ultimately the only number that actually matters is zero.”

Although O’Leary, the polio eradication director for the World Health Organization, is speaking from his home in Galway, against the verdant backdrop of western Ireland, his focus is on war-torn Afghanistan and the parched and dusty plains of Pakistan — the last two places on the planet where wild polio still thrives.

Program Donations

Our E-Club is a dynamic club comprised of ordinary working and retired people who acknowledge that Rotarians are people who are generous with their time and their resources.

Our club and the program you have just enjoyed, either as a member or a visitor, is funded only by donations.

We are developing ideas for fundraising with our members who are scattered across Canada, USA, Central America, and Europe, but we do need your help.

As you have not had to buy lunch or travel to attend this program, please make a donation of a minimum of $10.00, considering you're saving in time and cost in appreciation for the experience you have enjoyed.
