A well-known local Scout leader has come down with COVID-19, but is using his nature skills to keep his family safe from infection.
Jon Smith, 51, is a Scout leader with the 1st Barrie Foresters. He says he got his positive test result for COVID-19 on Sept. 24.
“I have allergies, and I came down with what I thought was a really bad cold. I thought I’d get the test just in case,” Smith told BarrieToday. “In the meantime, I found out a co-worker had tested positive as well.”

Members and guests attending our weekly meetings are very important to us. Based on your comments we are able to produce many more educational, inspiring, and entertaining weekly meetings.
Following are some of the comments we have received. Would you please send us your comments?
-- Sharon Blaker, E-Club of Canada One, District 5370
Michael Sandel’s TED Talk on the tyranny of merit makes an excellent point about how divided society has become, though I am not optimistic that it will change much anytime soon.
-- David Werrett, E-Club of Canada One, District 5370
The polio facts. Great content!

Announcements
November is Foundation Month
Why should you support the Rotary Foundation?
When every Rotarian donates to our Rotary Foundation every year, it makes Doing Good in the World possible.
Our Foundation’s Annual Fund provides the funding for local and international grant projects that improve lives around the world. Your contributions help us promote peace, fight disease, provide clean water and sanitation, save mothers and children, support education, grow local economies, and respond to disasters.
Thanks to Rotarians who give every year, we accomplished a lot in 2019-20:
* Rotarians gave $123.6 million to the Annual Fund.
* The Foundation awarded 1,359 global grants.
These life-changing, sustainable projects are possible because of donors like you, who take action and make a personal contribution to the Annual Fund. When every Rotarian gives every year, no challenge is too great for us to make a difference.
Support our Foundation by clicking HERE.
Please feel free to forward an approx. 150 - 200 word message or any material suggestions in an e-mail, or in a Word document, along with a JPeg picture or two, to E-Club Administration Chair, Kitty Bucsko.
We'd love to hear from you!
The Rotary E-club of Canada One is excited to announce that all of our attending guests who make a donation to our club in lieu of a meal, fines or happy bucks, will have the opportunity to have their name entered in a quarterly draw in support of the Rotary Foundation.
For more information, please click on the READ MORE link at the top of the weekly meeting.

Program Donations
Our E-Club is a dynamic club comprised of ordinary working and retired people who acknowledge that Rotarians are people who are generous with their time and their resources.
Our club and the program you have just enjoyed, either as a member or a visitor, is funded only by donations.
We are developing ideas for fundraising with our members who are scattered across Canada, USA, Central America, and Europe, but we do need your help.
As you have not had to buy lunch or travel to attend this program, please make a donation of a minimum of $10.00, considering you're saving in time and cost in appreciation for the experience you have enjoyed.
