Comments from our guests and members

Members and guests attending our weekly meetings are very important to us. Based on your comments we are able to produce many more educational, inspiring, and entertaining weekly meetings.

Following are some of the comments we have received. Would you please send us your comments?

August 29. Harvest Hands, how the vision of one person over time can become the amazing operation it has grown into!
September 1. Bridges to Prosperity, very impressive. That’s an organization we could get behind.

Environment

🦌 What to Know About Moose:

Scientific Name: Alces alces

Size: The largest of the deer species — adult males (bulls) can stand over 6.5 feet (2 metres) at the shoulder!

Antlers: Only males grow antlers, and they shed them annually. The antlers can span up to 6 feet (1.8 metres) across!

Diet: Herbivores — they love aquatic plants, shrubs, and tree bark. They're excellent swimmers and often feed in lakes and marshes.

Habitat: Boreal and mixed deciduous forests in cold climates — like Canada, Scandinavia, and northern U.S. states.

Temperament: Solitary animals and surprisingly fast runners. They’re not usually aggressive, but they can be dangerous if provoked, especially during mating season or if they feel threatened.

Babies: Called calves, usually born in spring. They’re pretty adorable!
