Pacific National Exhibition
The Pacific National Exhibition is a non-profit organization that hosts an annual 17-day summer fair, seasonal amusement park, and arena in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. It usually begins in mid-to-late August and ends in early September, usually Labour Day. (Wikipedia)
Attendance: 769,242 (2014); 1.1 million (record – 1986)
Founded: 1910
Location: Vancouver
Dates: mid to late August to early September
Canadian National Exhibition
The Canadian National Exhibition, also known as The Exhibition or The Ex, is an annual event that takes place at Exhibition Place in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, during the final 18 days leading up to and including Canadian Labour Day, the first Monday in September. (Wikipedia)
Located in: Exhibition Place
Address: 210 Princes' Blvd, Toronto, ON M6K 3C3
Attendance: 1.54 million (2016)
Founded: 1879
Dates: 18 days (from mid-August to Labour Day)
Of course, both of these events were cancelled in 2020 because of the COVID-19 virus! The PNE was partially closed. For the CNE, the historic decision marks only the second occasion in its 142-year history, and not since WWII, has the CNE closed in its entirety.

August 11. With so much evidence for the positive impact of vaccines, it would be interesting to me to understand the reasoning or basis for fear of vaccination.

New members' corner
In RadioRotary’s weekly 30 minute interviews, two entertaining professional radio hosts, Sarah O’Connell and Jonah Triebwasser, chat with Rotarians and non-Rotarians, people who live by Rotary’s motto, “Service above Self.”
Guests are humanitarians who work on many levels in programs that address such important issues as poverty, education, health, the environment, and employment and vocations. Each interview provides timely information that focuses on improving the quality of life for everyone, both here and abroad.
For example, RI President, Holger Knaack, was interviewed in early August. Click here to hear the broadcast.

Program Donations
Our E-Club is a dynamic club comprised of ordinary working and retired people who acknowledge that Rotarians are people who are generous with their time and their resources.
Our club and the program you have just enjoyed, either as a member or a visitor, is funded only by donations.
We are developing ideas for fundraising with our members who are scattered across Canada, USA, Central America, and Europe, but we do need your help.
As you have not had to buy lunch or travel to attend this program, please make a donation of a minimum of $10.00, considering you're saving in time and cost in appreciation for the experience you have enjoyed.
