Inspirational moment

In these difficult times, small acts can make a big difference. At 1:00 p.m. every day, Heather Jean Jordan rings the bells of St. George In The Pines as a symbol of hope and community for the town of Banff.

"Amazing Grace" performed by Heather Jean Jordan.

Comments from our guests and members

Members and guests attending our weekly meetings are very important to us. Based on your comments we are able to produce many more educational, inspiring and entertaining weekly meetings.

Following are some of the comments we have received. Would you please send us your comments?

Matthew Dick.  Matthew tells his story of parents never being interested in his life until there was one moment where his mother stuck up for him in High School. This may or may not have affirmed her care/love for him, but it did provide him the connection he was looking for.
-- Michael Thomas, Rotary Club of Stony Plain, District 5370

Theatre production, Matthew Dick.  Very disturbing but the saddest part is that this is real life for a lot of kids.
-- Vicki Horsfield, E-Club of Canada One, District 5370

Good story about the Interact club of South Delta working on Positive Peace.  Also,  Stephanie Herzfeld's story about her first day and the first child she immunized on a National Immunization day was quite moving. She looked back at those children and realized what a difference she had made to the life of each of those children she had immunized, and how much difference the Endpolio program is making around the world.
-- David Werrett, E-Club of Canada One, District 5370

Language as humanity’s greatest invention.  I really enjoyed the Cremation of Sam McGee read by Johnny Cash along with the beautiful Northern art work.  This poem was one I chose to memorize, but found new meaning in it this time, after having visited the Arctic five or so years ago.  Do you know who did this artwork?  The style reminds me of work done by a Yellowknife artist, Robbie Craig. (Paintings by Ted Harrison.  Click HERE for more information.)
-- Lynne Ternosky, Rotary Club of District 6330 Passport

Four ways to engage members online

Are you looking for ideas to engage members while we're physically distancing ourselves from each other?  Has your club started meeting online?  Here are some of our favourite resources to help:

Watch membership webinars and speeches from recent conventions and the International Assembly in the new Club Programming collection on Vimeo.

Share the updated State of Membership presentation at your next meeting.

Discover the professional and personal development opportunities in the LearningCenter. From Leading Change to Building Rotary’s Public Image, these online courses allow you to learn new skills from your home.

Encourage your members to exchange ideas in the Meeting Online learning topic in the Learning Center.

Find more resources at rotary.org/membership.

Program Donations

Our E-Club is a dynamic club comprised of ordinary working and retired people who acknowledge that Rotarians are people who are generous with their time and their resources.

Our club and the program you have just enjoyed, either as a member or a visitor, is funded only by donations.

We are developing ideas for fundraising with our members who are scattered across Canada, USA, Central America, and Europe, but we do need your help.

As you have not had to buy lunch or travel to attend this program, please make a donation of a minimum of $10.00, considering you're saving in time and cost in appreciation for the experience you have enjoyed.
